  • 4.12 is een van de betere drivers voor Radeon 9800 serie, dat is bekend.

    Voor de X?00 generatie kaarten zou ik wel gewoon de Catalyst 5.7 of 5.8 gebruiken.

    ATI Radeon 9600 en 9800 worden nog steeds gemaakt. In de lijst met fixes kom je ook regelmatig een 9600 en 9800 tegen. Basseer je dat alleen op je eigen ervaringen? Wat voor een kaart heb je? Ik denk wel dat de allernieuwste kaarten ook wel de meeste aandacht zullen krijgen met het uitbrengen van een nieuwe driver maar dat fixes in oudere kaarten wel hersteld worden.

    Ik ben wel nieuwsgierig naar ervaringen van mensen met oudere kaarten met name de 9800Pro.[/quote:00807777f1]

    Ik heb de nieuwste nog niet getest, (5.7) maar de 5.4 had ik toendertijd wel getest (op m'n 9800pro) en in 2001SE had ik iets van 300 punten minder. Dus ik baseer dat idd op eigen ervaringen. Hoe het nu is met 5.7 weet ik niet.

    Ik ga binnekort ook die 5.7 testen, misschien zijn die wel wat sneller als de alweer sterk veroudererde 4.12 die ik nou heb.
  • Ik heb nu maar even die 5.7 driver getest en het resultaat voor een 9800pro, 128mb, 256bit, R350 is:

    Beetje lastig dus, welke uiteindelijk nou de beste is. Ik zal zo ook eens kijken of spellen zoals BF2 nou ook iets lekkerder spelen.

    Welke drivers kan ik nou het beste gebruiken met onderstaand systeem (9800pro 128 256bit)
    Op tweakers word 5.6 aangeraden, andere hebben er veel problemen mee.
  • Ik zou gewoon 5.7 proberen, als deze naar tevredenheid werkt zo laten.
    Heb je problemen ga dan terug naar 5.6 of 4.12
  • Ik heb een 9800XT ik neem,zodra ze er zijn,altijd de nieuwste drivers,nog nooit problemen ondervonden.
  • 9800 Pro, net 5.7 en no problemos, sterker, ik merk een minimaal verschil.

    Wat is de beste driver om te grbuiken bij mijn laptop. Een 9700 64 mb chip.
  • Laptop drivers zijn een verhaal appart, dat moet je echt proefondervindelijk zelf doen, verschilt erg per laptop.
    Je moet sowieso kijken of de catalyst drivers wel werken op je laptop, ATI heeft daar een testje voor.
  • op www.driverheaven.net hebben ze volgens mij een progje om drivers geschikt te maken voor de laptop. En omega doet er ook iets mee.

  • Het heeft lang geduurd deze maand maar hij is er toch gekomen ;)

    Ik zal de FAQ direct updaten.

    ATI vertelde mij dat deze drivers zo goed als geen preformance winst geven, het zijn voornamelijk bugfixes en vernieuwde/nieuwe features.

    En ook weer creeert? :-?
    Vind het wel apart dat voor relatief oude spellen nog aanpassingen worden gedaan aan de drivers.
  • Gebeurd bij nVidia ook, geen idee waarom men daar zo laat mee komt, beter laat dan nooit zal ik maar zegen ;)

    Om de een of andere reden heb ik wel een redelijke performance wins in BF2 , niet in andere games zoals CS of zo, maar in BF2 heb ik een performance winst van 10 tot soms 20 Fps , wat eigenlijk beestachtig veel is.

    Ook waar vroeger de schaduwen heel gekarteld waren (AA leek er niet op te zerken) zijn ze nu heel mooi afgelijnd.

    De 5.8 is voor mij een hele verbetering
  • Dat is dan een mooie ontwikkeling, ik hoorde her en der dat BF2 niet zo vlot liep op ATI kaarten met de voorgaande drivers, dat is dus nu opgelost met de Cat 5.8 driver begrijp ik hier uit.

    4.12 werkt voor mij nog steeds het best.
